Supported Living offers individuals the opportunity to have their own tenancy and live in a supported environment of their choice, with people they choose to live with.

At Supported Living, we work with a housing organisation to make all this possible. Our team of support workers support individuals during the day and at night when needed. This means that each resident can do the things they enjoy, such as spending time with their family and friends, going to the leisure centre, shopping, or going to work or college.

We encourage individuals to do as much for themselves as possible including cooking, budgeting and their own personal care. We are committed to supporting people to live their lives as independently as possible, try new things and fulfil their potential.

  • We want individuals to have more choice and control over what they do and therefore live more independent and fulfilling lives.
  • By choosing Supported Living, feel assured that our trained professionals will provide support any time of the day or night if required.
  • We will work with friends, family or carers to develop a support plan tailored specifically to each individual in our care.
  • We regularly review our services and provide training to staff to make sure our service meets your needs and are the best they can be.

Upon moving into their home, residents, their family or carers and support workers will agree a support plan tailored to the individual’s needs with a focus on building their skills and confidence to reach their goals.

The aim of the support plan is to agree the right level of support and encourage individuals to try new opportunities, including making use of the local community facilities available. The support will be provided in the least restrictive manner and reasonable adjustments will be made if necessary in line with the Equality Act.

Where the long term aim is to move onto more independent accommodation, the Supported Living team will aim to support the person to achieve this, building on existing skills and developing new skills.

You can access Supported Living through your social worker or through your local clinical commissioning group. Alternatively you can contact us directly using the contact details below and we will advise you how to apply.

How is Supported Living paid for?

The amount of support paid for is based on the assessed need of the individual which is also determined by the local authority. Residents can use a personal budget or direct payment to purchase the support directly from us.
